Cultural Recommendation (15)
Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10:54AM This is an absolute classic - Elvis from Hawaii in 1973. This concert was broadcast around the world at the time and Elvis put on a great show. This, in my opinion, is his best performance from that show. Just watch him belt it out at the end. Dude could sing.

You've got to love the Elvis. Great choice.
Pundit, just an outstanding performance by the King...I'm a old, old Dawg and was just
beginning High School when Elvis hit the scene and many young kids fell in love listing
to Elvis and followed his entire career...To my generation he was the King of Rock and
to us will always be our Hero...
Elvis may be gone but he will always remain in our hearts and souls as the greatest
performer of all times........LONG LIVE THE KING........
"Thank You Pundit", you love for music is wonderful and touching to us all.....
Thanks Dawg. Great to hear your perspective on things like this.
I can relate to what you said Dawg. When I was in high school, all us guys had sideburns and tried to look like Elvis. I looked pretty much like him, if only he had had a face full of pimples.
The lines about "Daddy's about to die" and "soon my trials Lord will be over" are prophetic. He looked healthy and thin even if his eyes were a bit glazed. I think at about this time he was reaching the tipping point to his decline and the end. He never forgot his gospel roots. This world chewed him up and spit him out. I hope the Lord took him home.
Amen Herb....RIP Elvis A Presley.....
